I am a coloured pencil artist inspired by the beauty found in everyday life. My practice centres on themes of gastronomy, botanical subjects, and everyday objects, while occasionally exploring conceptual ideas through symbolic imagery. I enjoy finding interest in the ordinary and transforming familiar subjects into detailed, carefully observed drawings. Alongside these studies, I occasionally explore conceptual ideas through symbolic imagery. While coloured pencil remains my primary medium, I also enjoy working with ink, embracing its expressive qualities and the contrast it offers to my more detailed pencil work.
Working with coloured pencils allows me to build each piece slowly through layers of colour, creating depth, texture, and subtle variations in light. I value the patience and precision the medium requires, and I find the process just as rewarding as the finished artwork.
For me, every drawing is an opportunity to explore colour, craftsmanship, and the expressive possibilities of the coloured pencil medium. I am continually inspired by the richness of everyday subjects and the endless creative potential they offer.
